DF PROFINET IO | PCI Latency Timer

Issue

LabVIEW stop running with an DMA-Error using a PN-PCI-Board.

Instructions

• Reboot your PC to change in the BIOS menu.

• in BIOS navigate to the tab Advanced and choose PCI Subsystem Settings .

• change PCI Latency Timer to 128 PCI Bus Clocks , then Save and Exit.

  • At default this value is set to 32 Bus Clocks. i.e. a PCI member blocks the bus for 32 bus cycles, before it releases it. Since nowadays PCI members are rarely used, you can set this value to higher numbers.
