Revolution Pi Checklist
All data on the device will be deleted. The customer is responsible for data backup and data protection.
The checkboxes are only there for self-control, they have no other function.
We want to ensure that you and we don’t spend time on problems that can be avoided by resetting the device to the factory defaults. Therefore, we have provided this checklist for you.
Preparation
Unplug all USB devices from your RevPi device
Disable the watchdog timer if your device supports it, e.g., https://revolutionpi.com/tutorials/uebersicht-revpi-connect/watchdog-connect/
Backup
Save the image of your device, e.g. https://revolutionpi.com/tutorials/images-2/safe-and-install-new-image-jessie-and-stretch/
Save your license(s) e.g. Backing up and Restoring a CODESYS License - Industrial Raspberry Pi (revolutionpi.com)
Flash the latest image
Find the compatible image here: “Images”
Download the image here: https://revolutionpi.com/tutorials/downloads/#revpiimages
The latest OS version is the Bullseye image
The latest OS version is the Bullseye image
Perform the steps: “How to Safe and Install a new Image”
Use a tool like balena Etcher that writes and reads out the written image to prove that the eMMC is written correct.
Update your system
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
Reboot your system
sudo reboot
Correct connection of extension modules
Check that you have connected your extension modules correctly.
Update firmware of the connected extension modules
Update the firmware of all connected extension modules

Test the system
Open Web Status → Apps → PiCtory
Execute “piTest -d”
Switch the A1 LED with the commands
