DF PROFINET IO | PC / PXI-System / Configurator 3 dosen´t find my DF PROFINET IO board

The software looks good and the PC does not or detect like seen in the picture the DF PROFINET IO board. Ether the device manger or NI MAX do not show the board.

Hardware:

• DF PROFINET IO PCI/CPCI/PCIe

Software:

• Windows, LabVIEW

• DF PROFINET IO LabVIEW VISA Driver

Solution:

Make sure the NI VISA driver package is installed. Reinstall the KUNBUS Software.

Board mounted in a PXI-System

• Go in NI MAX to “My System/Software/NI-Visa/VISA Options” and check if your system is added to “My System/General Settings/Remote/”

• As well check if at “My System/VISA Server/Security” the entry “*” is there for remote access.

After installation of the setup you can manually install the board in the device manager like shown:

Check the boards LED behavior - there might be a Hardware defect.

Make sure our board is working correct by checking the LED behavior on the DF PROFINET IO Controller Ethernet port after starting the PC.

1. Red LED indicates the board is booting.

2. After a couple of seconds: red LED turns off and the green LED turns on.

Only the green LED should be on. Otherwise, the board has a defect.

If the green LED is on, the hardware defect might be on the PC side.  Try the DF PROFINET IO board in another PC.

Or try another PCI/PCIe board in the port where the DF PROFINET IO Board is plugged in to make sure the PC is fine.
