cRIO PBMS configuration (Master/Slave) in cRIO 9055 / 9057 / 9058

Issue:

During the PROFIBUS configuration with the Configurator 3 an issue occurs which doesn't allow to configure the cRIO PBMS.

The cRIO PBMS used in the latest cRIO Controllers/Chassis (9055 / 9057 / 9058) need to be configured as described below.

Iit is now possible to configure KUNBUS modules for cRIO-9055 with Configurator III with the following workaround.

1. Please install the PBMS package incl. Configurator III from VI Package Manager if not done yet

2. Download the attatched CS_LV_VISA.DLL file

   1. rename the original CS_LV_VISA.DLL to back it up.

   2. copy the downloaded DLL file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Kunbus GmbH\Configurator III\

   3. While the modified CS_LV_VISA.DLL is added, the online/monitor mode of Configurator III will not work even with previous cRIO Chassis.

   4. If you would work with cRIO Chassis published pre LabVIEW 2019 using the online/monitor mode, please rename the original DLL file to CS_LV_VISA.DLL.

3. Download the attatched bitfile CSLVVISA_cRIO-9055[4].lbvitx

   1. copy it to C:\Program Files (x86)\KUNBUS GmbH\Configurator III\BitFiles\

4. Start Configurator III.

Please note due to changes at the NI´s FPGA-API it is currently not possible to use the online/monitor mode of Configurator III. However, the download process will complete successfuly and the diagnose messages might be read out by executing our Getting Started example.
