RS485 Communication is supported on XPS-E

Instructions

Setup the PROFIBUS master via the GSD file:

  • Async. hardware mode: RS422/485 mode

  • RS422/485 mode: HalfDuplex mode

 

  • Unfortunately a picture for the RS485 wiring is missing in the documentation:

  • RS485 is a 2-wire line, therefore the RS422 send and receive pins must be bridged on the XPS-E for RS485 operation.
