Sometimes it is helpful to investigate system files for a successful troubleshooting. This guide shall show how to gather files from a Revolution Pi device to a Windows system. As an example we are using the Kernel log and the PiCtory configuration.

Instructions

  1. Copy the needed files to a temporary folder. Here we use “/var/log/kern.log” and “/etc/revpi/config.rsc”

  2. Open the tool FileZilla and configure the connection to the Revolution Pi device

  3. Select the local (1) and the remote (2) folder and copy the files just by double klicking (3+4) so that they are copied (5)

  4. Open an Explorer window, go to the folder i.e. c:\temp and see the files
