This page shows a few examples of how KUNBUS Gateways can be used in and in combination with RevolutionPi products.
This article only shows how the devices can be used. The implementation of the application must be done by the user.
Connect two PLC together with data analyse
You can use two gateways in conjunction with a RevolutionPi Core to connect two PLCs.
The advantage of this configuration is:
The RevolutionPi can analyse, process and edit the data before forward it.
The PLCs can have different protocols

you can also do this with the RevolutionPi Connect +/S. For this you need a gateway and a CON module.

You can use two KUNBUS gateways to connect two devices (PLC) that support different protocols.

Control a RevolutionPi IO-Modules from an external device
You can read or write the inputs/outputs of a Revolution IO-Module via an external device. This can be done with the help of a KUNBUS Gateway module.
A RevolutionPi Core or Connect is also required for this.

This can also be realized with a CON module.
Additional Information
on each PiBridge, we support a maximum of 5 devices. Only one GW can be used per PiBRidge side, and the gateway must always be the last component.
No gateways or IO modules can be used on the ConBridge. There are special CON modules for this.
The RevolutionPi Core SE and Connect SE do not have GW functionality. This means that no KUNBUS GW can be connected there.
