I need the source code for the driver for my application. Is it possible?

I want to establish acyclic communication but the manual says that I should also establish cyclic communication first. Can I implement my wish without cyclic communication?

  • Yes it is posible if you modify the example application.

  • The part of the documentation is located here: “GettingStarted_RT_DP-Master_E”

  • An acyclic communication has to be established manually, since the communication properties has to be ajust to the specific slave, the master communicates with. An acyclic telegram has a minor priority than a cycilc telegram.

  • In the GettingStarted.pdf at point 6 there is a description how to establish a DPV1-connection to a DP-Slave. However, feel free to modify the example project to meet your requirements if you wish to establish a connection automatically to a specific DP-Slave at invoking the application.

In the Configurator III there is an error like this showing up: “… Please add a module…”

Please add the Profibus Slave Submodules that are defined according to the GSD.

Do I have to start the Configurator III with Admin privileges?

Usually there is no need to do this. This can be caused by your Security Policy. Please contact your IT administrator.
